What a busy and fun five weeks it's been, visiting schools across Singapore, within days of Captain Green and the Plastic Scene's release. I've read the story to children from 3 to 9 years old and had such lovely feedback, which has meant so much to me. I was touched by the children's reactions to seeing Dolphin, Seagull and Turtle in distress and watching the relief on their faces as the animals were each saved. Some children designed the own eco superheroes after seeing some rough character sketches that Danny Deeptown had produced when developing Captain Green's image. With others, we talked more about the plastic pollution crisis and little changes we can all make in our daily lives to help save our seas.
The hundreds of children that I have met genuinely care about the plastic problem and want to make changes, at school and at home, that will have a real impact. Let's support them in doing that. There is no Plan B after all - planet Earth is all we have. Let's look after her.
